It's great to know that many consumers are using the 100% organic Moroccan Argan oil. It is really about time that we start using organic personal care products may it be for the skin, hair, nails or even our teeth. Organic products have been around for many years now but it is only until recently that many consumers started patronising these products. Learn why you should go for organic products!

You ought to give your skin some pampering but make sure that you are not harming the environment or even exposing yourself to toxic chemicals. The news about toxic chemicals found in skin care products and other personal care products has been out for a long time now which made many consumers start switching to organic products. However there is still a high percentage of people using personal care products laden with harmful and toxic chemicals. The fact that such products are still widely available in the market says much about the continuous patronage of a high number of consumers.

Organic Skin Care Products

You probably have been seeing more and more organic skin care products these days. It is great to see that organic skin care products are getting very popular these days. Consumers are finally starting to catch on with healthy, safer and environment-friendly skin pampering.

What’s in Organic Skin Care Products

The more important question is what’s not in organic skin care products! Popular brands of skin care products would commonly have harmful and toxic ingredients. Check out your skin care products and read the ingredients in them. If you find the ingredients listed below in your skin care products then you should throw them out.

Parabens – This is a very common ingredient in most skin care products. This is used to prolong the shelf life of products. However this chemical disrupts hormones specifically estrogen and have been found in tissues of breast cancer patients.

Propylene Glycol – This ingredient is used in cosmetic products but did you know that this is actually an industrial anti-freeze used mainly in brake and hydraulic fluid. Would you want it to touch your skin? This can lead to abnormalities in liver and kidney damage.

Mineral Oil and Petroleum – Mineral oil and petroleum can form an oil film on the skin which can suffocate it. The film can prevent the skin from taking in oxygen and releasing carbondioxide which is an essential process to make the skin healthy.

Fragrance – This chemical can potentially cause cancer.

Moroccan Argan Oil is 100% Organic

It’s about time that your skin gets some pampering! A true pampering and that is without doing harm to any part of the body. A potent skin care product is the Moroccan Argan oil. It effectively moisturises the skin, prevents and minimises stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles, fight acne and acne scars and nourishes the skin! Organic skin care products like Moroccan Argan oil are made with raw materials free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers and free of toxic chemicals. You are giving your skin, your body and our planet a huge favour by using organic skin care products like the Argan oil.

The next time that you are headed out to buy skin care products, check the ingredients and make sure they are 100% organic!

The liquid gold of Morocco contains ingredients that give the skin, hair and nails great benefits. Many are hailing this oil for its anti-aging benefits. Get to know why the oil can prevent skin aging in this article.

Ever since the Argan oil became really popular the Berber tribe has also been widely talked about. Most write ups about the liquid gold of Morocco talks about how it was the Berber tribe that first recognised and used the wonders of the oil. The Berber tribe used this oil for medicinal, culinary and cosmetic purposes.

Argan Oil and the Berbers

Traditionally, women would gather goats’ dungs which contain the indegistible Argan nut seeds. The Argan nuts and leaves are part of the native goats’ diet in Morocco. Once they are done with gathering and washing the nut seeds, the Berber women would then roast these seeds and grind them into a thick paste. Then this thick paste would be squeezed in between palms for the oil. Another traditional method of extracting the oil is manually craking open the Argan nuts by hand with just the use of a piece of rock. This time the women would gather the Argan fruits and then proceed with the craking of the nut shells for its seeds then the seeds would be roasted, ground then squeezed for the oil to come out. The whole process takes excruciating hours to complete. About 22 hours.

Before the craze for Argan oil, many would have probably not heard much about the Berbers. The Berbers have been inhabiting the North Africa before the Arabs did. It is believed that the Berber cultire and traditions had been around for more than 4,000 years. As a collective group, the Berbers call themselves Imazighen or Amaziah. This means free and noble men.

Argan Oil: A New Hope for Morocco

We all know that life in the desert and mountain can be really harsh and difficult. The Berber women take part in agricultural and domestic labour. These days, the demand for the Argan oil has brought new hope for the families of Moroccan women as they now have a source of income which can help send their children to school. In the old days, the women of Morocco were not allowed to work outside their home. Today many cooperatives in Morocco that produce the very precious oil have women as their employees exclusively.

The oil became a big hit in the west because of its beneficial properties to the skin, hair and nails. The beauty industry has hailed the liquid gold of Morocco as a miracle oil and many have been giving their testimonials about the potent power of this oil.

Skin Benefits of Argan Oil

The oil is packed with nutrients that help keep the skin healthy, vibrant and youthful. It has a high concentration of Vitamin E which stops the aging of skin cells. Vitamin E is also effective in preventing scars as well as stretch marks. Its essential unsaturated fatty acids is yet another antiaging ingredient as it prevents premature aging and as well effective in minimising and preventing fine lines. It also contains Prostaglandins which aids in the development and growth of skin cells and Ferulic acid which protects the skin from aging and the damaging effects of UV rays. The Carotenoids component of the oil also prevents skin aging and protects the skin from harsh effects of free radicals.

Do you actually need Vitamin E? You probably weren’t paying attention that much in class or you simply were not in class when Vitamin E was discussed if you are asking this question. Indeed, Vitamin E is an important nutrient that your body needs.

Vitamin E is crucial in keeping the body healthy. The human body is not capable of making this essential nutrient thus we get it from other sources. The best sources of this vitamin are Argan oil, tomatoes, nuts and seeds, olive oil, spinach and most leafy greens. There are also supplements packed with Vitamin E that you can take in order to meet the required amount of this nutrient your body needs.

When you hear the words Vitamin E, you probably think of it as just being one nutrient. If you have some background in medicine or just really smart you probably already know that Vitamin E is actually composed of a group of compounds that individually has distinct antioxidant properties. To put this in a much simpler term, it just means that Vitamin E is an all-star antioxidant!

There are eight forms (yes 8 ) of naturally occurring Vitamin E. You probably went back and read the line naturally occurring Vitamin E again. There is the naturally occurring Vitamin E and the synthetic Vitamin E. From the 8 forms of Vitamin E, the d-alpha-tocopherol is the only one meets what our bodies require and the only form of the nutrient that the body actively maintains. It is stored most in our blood and tissues.

So how does the d-alpha-tocopherol benefit the body? This form of Vitamin E is actually your shield against the damaging effects of free radicals. Free radicals are naturally occurring and are formed inside our bodies during the process of metabolism and once we expose ourselves to environmental stressors such as smoke, dust and pollution. Once the process of oxidation sets in then the damaging effects of free radicals take over.

Fats are an important part of every cellular membrane and oxidation mostly affects fats. The d-alpha-tocopherol form of Vitamin E is valuable to your body since this antioxidant is fat-soluble therefore capable of preventing free radicals from wreaking havoc in the body. If in case you are wondering how damaging free radicals can be, you should know that they can speed up the aging process, aid in the development of heart diseases and specific types of cancer.

Vitamin E is not only an antioxidant. It is also a booster of the body’s defence or immune system. Numerous researches that were conducted have suggested that this nutrient may actually be helpful in strengthening certain aspect of our body’s immune system which as we age weakens. Certain studies conducted showed indications of this nutrient boosting the formation of antibodies in elderly adults. Some studies conducted on Vitamin E can also potentially decrease the risk of heart attacks or mortality from diseases related to the heart.

Without a doubt, Vitamin E is essential to the body! Get your daily dose of this nutrient by drizzling on Argan oil to your dishes!

If argan oil is an oil and oil is fat, why then is it considered healthy? Well, we all know that not all fats and not all oils are unhealthy!

What is Argan oil?

Argan oil is hugely popular due to its cosmetic and culinary uses. Used for centuries by the Berbers in their everyday life, this miracle oil comes from the nuts of the Argan tree which is found in the southern parts of Morocco.

The argan tree is a relic from the Tertiary age and it has survived and adapted to the harsh environmental conditions of the desert. Because of its many uses, it was considered an endangered species and UNESCO has made initiatives to protect the Argan tree.

What makes Argan oil healthy?

Healing and protection

The oil is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamin E and anti-oxidants which are nutrients known to help heal tissue, lighten scars and stretch marks, fight against inflammations, protect against the damaging effects of the sun and provide disinfectant properties. Oleic and linoleic acids are fatty acids that help hydrate, maintain resilience and improve skin elasticity. The oil icontains 8 important fatty acids, among which is omega-6 which the body cannot produce. Omega-6 helps prevent moisture loss in the skin, making it supple and young looking.

Anti-aging benefits

Argan oil has a high content of vitamin E making it a rich source of antioxidants that help fight the free radicals that attack the cells and cause premature aging. Vitamin E greatly reduces the appearance of fine lines, stretch marks, and scarring. Argan oil also helps keep the hair look young and healthy.

Health benefits

Improves cholesterol profile

Argan oil contains a rare combination of plant sterols not found in other plant oils. These phytosterols called the schottenol and spinasterol reduce cholesterol levels by blocking the body’s ability to absorb cholesterol. The oil does not clog arteries nor does it increase your risk of heart diseases.

Notable Health Benefits

Argan oil helps to improve digestion by increasing the concentration of pepsin in the gastric juice. The oil also contains flavonoids which has anti-inflammatory properties that can help relieve arthritic or rheumatic conditions and strengthens natural immunity.

How to use Argan oil

Argan oil has many uses in the cosmetic industry. Because of its nutrient profile, the oil has been used widely in caring for the skin and hair. It acts as a great moisturizer that can help manage dry skin and treat brittle hair. Apply Argan oil on your skin before going to bed and after washing and bathing. Massage the oil on your scalp and hair to keep hair healthy and prevent the formation of dandruff.

Culinary argan oil has also become hugely popular. This oil is 80% unsaturated fatty acids making it a healthy option for your dishes. Chefs, around the world have come up with delicious, mouth-watering dishes using this Moroccan oil. The oil has a nutty taste that goes well with salads and complements grilled meat and fish. Drizzle the oil over hot pasta, couscous or rice and your dish is instantly transformed into a tasty meal.

What are the two things that most women are concerned about? If you say shoes and clothes, think of the other two things that most women spend for. If you say bags and jewellery then think of the other two things besides the four things you have already thought about. Most women of course know that the two things that we are most concerned about are (Men pay attention!) skin and hair.

Admittedly most of us women have different lotions, creams and other cosmetic products to maintain the health and beauty of our hair and skin. We have beauty regimen for day time and night time. Beauty is something that we want to maintain not just because we want to look attractive to the opposite sex or same sex for that matter but because looking beautiful makes us feel good. Call it vanity, call it shallow but no one can take that wonderful good feeling within and great confidence we display whenever we feel beautiful.

Beauty Product for Both the Skin and Hair

Most beauty products for skin are just for the face, arms, hands, body, legs and feet. Hair products take care of the scalp and the hair. But don’t you just wish that there could be a beauty product for both the skin and the hair? We obviously can save a lot if the skin care product also takes care of our hair.

Have you heard about the oil that is making such a big buzz in the beauty industry? This is the Argan oil. This oil actually nourishes not just the skin and hair but also the nails. This is certainly something that us, women will want to get a hold of. But just what does this oil do for the skin, hair and nails? And what makes this oil work wonders?

What the Argan Oil Is Made Of
Let us first take a look at what the Argan oil is made up of. This oil contains essential unsaturated fatty acids, Vitamin E, Ferulic acid, Sterols, Carotenoids, Polyphenols and other antioxidants. These ingredients of the oil gives its moisturising ability and anti aging property.

Argan Oil for the Skin and Hair

Finally there is a beauty product that takes care of both the skin and the scalp. What benefits can your skin get from this oil?

Skin is moisturised and dry and flaky skin is avoided.

Premature skin aging is avoided and wrinkles are prevented from showing up.

Skin is protected from damaging effects of UV rays and free radicals.

What benefits can you get for your hair from this oil?

Hydrates the hair naturally. Fights hair curls and hair roughness.

Enhances hair elasticity and provides nourishment for hair growth.

Makes hair manageable.

Antioxidants in the oil give strength to the hair. Damaged hair cell membranes are also repaired.

Vitamin E helps restore the hair by repairing and renewing damaged hair.

Brings back hair lustre and shine by locking in moisture.

Omega 3 and Omega 9 and other unsaturated fatty acids of the oil nourish the roots and pores thereby strengthening the hair and repairing split ends.

Nails are also benefited by strengthening them through the Vitamin E found in the oil and conditioning nails because of its moisturising properties. Definitely this beauty product deserves a place in a woman’s beauty night stand.

If you are using Argan oil to keep your skin smooth, soft and glowing then you are doing something right. Did you know that Argan oil has many components that are basically food for the skin? Argan oil has moisturising and anti aging properties because of its components such as essential fatty acids, Vitamin E, Sterols, Carotenoids and many others.

Of course skin care goes beyond just this oil or any moisturiser. There are other things you need to address. For example did you know that there are certain foods that are good for the skin? Make sure that you include these foods in your diet if you want to have beautiful skin.

Blueberries – Munch on some blueberries often and you will prevent skin aging. These small ball shaped fruits actually have anti aging components. Not only does it retain your skin’s elasticity it also makes your gums stronger and keeps your eyes healthy too.

Strawberries – If you want to avoid wrinkles, include strawberries in your diet. Strawberries have ingredients that protect the structure of the skin’s collagen. You probably are aware that collagen makes the skin firm. A firm skin will avoid having wrinkles.

Oats – Eat oats if you want healthy and soft skin. Oats have high soluble fibre and complex carbohydrates. Oats also contain high concentration of iron, calcium, phosphorous, Vitamin E, Vitamin B and Silicon. Vitamin E actually nourishes the skin cells and prevents skin aging. Silicon also promotes the health of the skin by helping the body maintain enough levels of collagen.

Brazil nuts – Try having Brazil nuts as your munch on food instead of chips. Brazil nuts help prevent skin from drying and also protect the skin from the damaging effects of UV rays.

Avocados – Some people even use avocadoes as facial mask. Avocado is actually a familiar ingredient in skin care or skin beauty products. This is because avocados are rich in folate which aids in the formation of blood. This is very important in cell regeneration.

Salmon – Fats from fish are actually healthy to the mind and body and also helpful in keeping the skin beautiful. Instead of going for pork or beef, you should switch to salmon. Salmon actually helps the skin become smooth.

Fish in general are actually healthy for the body and mind and specifically to the skin. Fish contains omega fatty acids which benefits the skin.

Apricots – If you love your skin you should also love adding to your diet apricots. Apricots are packed with fibre and phyto chemicals. Foods that are rich in phyto compounds helps in DNA repair and also shoots up collagen production. Phyto compounds also help reduce inflammation and improve the flow of blood thus benefiting the skin with beauty, health and youthfulness.

Broccoli – You may have detested this vegetable since you were young and you probably were forced by your mum or your dad to eat this vegetable. Definitely you will start loving Broccoli in your plate now that you know as this vegetable actually helps the skin retain its beauty and youth.

These are just some of the foods that keep the skin beautiful and healthy. If you want to have beautiful skin and not go hungry at the same time (you can’t eat the beauty products) just include these foods in your diet.

During winter most of us are busy keeping ourselves dry and warm. The cold season seems to suck up the life in most things and it can sometimes make the mood dreary. For people suffering from dry skin, nothing can be more annoying than the cold weather.

When the winter season is up the skin will become drier. This is because of the low humidity during this season. Low humidity means there’s less moisture in the air. During this cold season we can also experience harsh dry winds which batter the skin badly.

If you suffer from dry skin during the winter season you are probably familiar with how annoying the winter skin itch can be. This condition of the skin is quite uncomfortable. The great news is there are ways on how you can combat skin dryness during the winter season keeping it moisturised and avoiding the winter skin itch.

The first thing you want to make sure of is that you are using the right moisturiser for the winter season. You should go for oil moisturisers such as Argan oil because oil traps moisture in the skin better than water based moisturisers. However the main reason you should use Argan oil is because of its components.

This oil contains unsaturated essential fatty acids, Vitamin E, Polyphenols, Sterols, Carotenoids, Ferulic acid and Prostaglandins which are all good food for the skin. Because of these components, the oil is a very good remedy for dry skin and also an anti aging remedy.

Let us take a closer look at the benefits of this oil.

The unsaturated essential fatty acids benefits the skin by preventing premature skin aging and stopping the development of fine lines.

Its Prostaglandins which is an anti inflammatory is helpful in cell development and growth.

This oil is packed with Vitamin E which is effective in stopping skin aging in its track. Vitamin E is also nourishment for the skin cells. Stretch marks and wound scarring are also prevented because of its high levels of Vitamin E.

Sterols keep the skin cell’s membranes healthy and retain the moisture in the skin.

Ferulic acid is an anti aging component and protects the skin from the harsh effects of UV rays.

Carotenoids is also an anti aging component of the oil and also a protection against the harmful effects of free radicals.

Using the right moisturiser is just one way to combat dry skin but there are other skin care steps that you should do to prevent your skin from drying out during the cold season.

Winter Skin Care Tips

Although the weather may be cold don’t use hot water in bathing or washing your face. Opt for lukewarm water when bathing or washing the face.

Do not also over wash. Many people tend to do this. Squeaky clean is not good for the skin. Over cleaning the skin will only dry it out especially that the weather is cold.

After showering or bathing pat dry yourself with your towel then immediately apply moisturiser.

You should also exfoliate at least once in a week. Exfoliating removes dead and dry skin.

Keep your skin healthy during the winter with these skin care tips.

Most women have a love and hate relationship with the cold weather. Well the good points of the winter season are:

You can start looking sexy with your boots and your leather coats.

You have an excuse to snuggle all the time and sleep longer hours.

Hot drinks and roasted marshmallows.

Not worry about flies and mosquitoes.

The possibility of work often getting cancelled due to a snowy day.

Having fun in the snow. (Snow ball fights and sledding)

Of course the winter season also has downsides. But the only reason why many women dread the winter is because this is the season for dry skin, frizzy hair, rough palms and hands and unimpressive cuticles. The winter season can certainly be a nightmare to deal with. But with a few skin nail and hair care tips you certainly can come out victorious and ever beautiful during the cold season.

Skin Care for the Winter Season

It is best to use cleansing milk to wash away dirt and dust clogging your pores during the winter season.

Use Argan oil as a skin moisturiser. It is advisable though to skip moisturising if you are going out as the moisturiser will only trap more dust and dirt. You should moisturise after you have had your warm bath before going to bed.

You can also use this oil from Morocco on your warm bath. Just a spoonful of this oil and your skin will be invigorated. If you have dry skin, give your skin a massage with this oil before taking your warm bath. Be sure to limit your bath to 15 minutes.

Since the skin tends to be very sensitive during the winter season you should not use too much make up. Make up or cosmetic products can irritate the skin further and cause pimple breakouts. Don’t hide the beauty of your skin underneath your make up.

Don’t forget to wash your face twice a day, before going to bed and after waking up. Warm water will be best to use in washing your face. Use a mild cleanser for your face and never use soap as the ingredients of soap will just rob your skin its natural oils leaving your skin dry.

Avoid drinking alcohol. Although drinking alcoholic drink may be very inviting because of the cold weather you should stop drinking alcoholic beverages if you want your skin to be healthy. Alcohol dehydrates the skin leaving you with dry skin.

Stop smoking. Smoking destroys collagen and constricts the blood vessels which results to development of wrinkles and rough skin texture.

Nail Care for the Winter Season

Nails also get a good battering during the cold season. Nails can easily chip and become brittle because of the cold weather. Apply Argan oil on your nails. This oil helps condition and moisturise the nails. This oil has Vitamin E which strengthens your nails.

Hair Care for the Winter Season

Use also the oil from Morocco as your conditioner. Remember to not take hot showers or hot baths but instead have quick warm showers or baths to not dry out your skin.

Many women around the globe are clamouring to learn the secret of having a beautiful skin. While some women are blessed with genes and hormones that don’t go haywire every now and then which results to beautiful skin more women are cursed with either not so good genes or crazy hormones which results to skin breakouts, dry skin, too oily skin and the appearances of wrinkles, fine lines, age spots and blemishes.

However many women can take comfort in the fact that there is still hope to get that beautiful and healthy skin they have been dreaming about. Here are the smartest things you can do to achieve your dream of wearing that beautiful, young, plump and healthy skin.

The Smartest Ways to Having a Gorgeous Skin

Consult a dermatologist! Instead of experimenting on skin care products and throwing out your hard earned money on products that would either do no good to your skin or worse harm your skin seek the expert on skin which is a dermatologist. The skin doctor would asses your skin, tell you which skin care products are best to use for your skin type and also give you advice on how to properly care for your skin. Another reason why you should visit your skin doctor at least once a year is so that you will be checked for any signs of skin cancer. Early diagnosis of skin cancer generally has great prognosis.

Protect the skin from the sun’s Ultra Violet rays! The sun emits harmful rays which we know as Ultra Violet or UV rays. These rays cause wrinkles and fine lines as well as sunspots or age spots and blemishes. Before heading outdoors lather on sunscreen lotion to the skin and wait for it to settle for about 15 minutes. Remember to use a sunscreen lotion with an SPF of 15 or higher.

Use Argan oil daily to moisturise the skin! Argan oil is packed with components that are very beneficial to the skin. It contains high levels of Vitamin E which nourishes skin cells and prevents skin aging.

Its high levels of essential unsaturated fatty acids prevent the skin from aging prematurely as well as minimising fine lines. It also has Prostaglandins which aids in skin cells development and growth. It also contains Ferulic acid which shields the skin from the harsh effects of UV rays as well as prevents skin aging. Its Carotenoids also fight skin aging by protecting the skin from damaging effects of free radicals.

Live a healthy lifestyle! This is an essential key to getting that gorgeous skin you have been dreaming of. Eat healthy and balanced meals. Make sure to include leafy greens and fruits in your diet and even healthy fats or fats from fish. Be sure to sleep for at least 8 hours a night and exercise regularly. Stay away from bad habits such as smoking and consuming too much alcoholic drinks.

In just 4 steps you can have that divine skin you have been trying to achieve. You don’t have to be jealous anymore of women with young and beautiful skin. Soon you would be envied by women around you.
